Britain's royal family has officially welcomed a new member with the marriage of Harriet Sperling to Peter Phillips, King Charles' eldest nephew.

The private church ceremony took place on Saturday in Kemble, Gloucestershire, marking a significant event on the royal calendar.

Notably, the choice of a tiara broke from recent royal trends, as Queen Camilla did not wear one for her 2005 wedding, according to People.

Sperling, who has previously written about her experiences as a single parent and her Christian faith under the byline Harriet Sanders, was joined by her teenage daughter Georgina, who served as a bridesmaid alongside Phillips' daughters, Savannah and Isla.

The guest list for the wedding exceeded 100 attendees, highlighting its importance within the royal family.

King Charles and Queen Camilla were present before departing by helicopter for the Epsom Derby.

Peter Phillips, 48, who finalized his divorce from Autumn Phillips in 2021, reportedly began dating Sperling around 2024 after they met at a children's sports event.

Since then, the couple has been seen at various royal engagements, including Royal Ascot, Wimbledon's Royal Box, and Prince William's charity polo.

Their engagement was confirmed in August 2025.
