Following his 2023 divorce from Deborra-Lee Furness, Hugh Jackman is reportedly keen to collaborate with Angelina Jolie on a significant project.

According to a June 2026 report from Globe, sources indicate that Jackman has long desired to work with Jolie, a prospect his ex-wife had previously joked about preventing.

"It’s no secret in his world that he has wanted to team up with her on a major project for years and generally speaking, Hollywood has been welcome to the idea," a source told Globe.

The report suggests that while there have been past attempts to pair the two actors, scheduling conflicts and Jolie's relationship with Brad Pitt prevented collaborations on films like 2004's *Van Helsing* and Christopher Nolan’s *The Prestige*.

Deborra-Lee Furness had publicly addressed the topic in a 2015 interview with Australia’s Today, humorously stating, "I’ve told his agent he’s not allowed to work with Angelina [Jolie]." She quickly clarified, "I’m sure she’s lovely." This past sentiment from his ex-wife adds context to Jackman's current reported interest in working with Jolie, as he is now free to pursue such collaborations.

Since his separation from Furness, Jackman is actively searching for a project for himself and Jolie, believing they are "so overdue for a significant team-up." Meanwhile, Jackman's current girlfriend, actress Sutton Foster, is also reportedly hoping to work with him.

However, sources suggest Jackman has doubts about the box office potential of a film starring him and Foster, reportedly prioritizing commercial success in his project choices.

"As much as Hugh believes he and Angie would have incredibly physical chemistry in an action movie together, he’s also always keeping the box office at [the] top of mind," the source explained.
