Cusack, who voices the character Jessie in the beloved Pixar franchise, addressed her extended break from the Hollywood spotlight, explaining her priorities shifted to personal life.

"I feel so honored to have worked in this industry for a long time," she stated, adding, "But it's also great to live your life and raise your kids and be in Chicago and be a normal person.

The 62-year-old star, known for her distinctive comic presence and voice work, confirmed she is now more selective about the projects she undertakes.

She also had guest-starring roles in 'Homecoming' and 'A Series of Unfortunate Events'.

Cusack's return for 'Toy Story 5' was particularly enticing due to the significance of her character in the new film.

She revealed that the upcoming installment will heavily feature Jessie, stating, "It's Jessie's story.

Beyond acting, Cusack also ventured into retail, opening a lifestyle shop called Judy Maxwell Home in Chicago.
