The incident occurred at the rehearsal dinner ahead of Swift and Kelce's wedding, which took place on July 3, 2026, at Madison Square Garden in Midtown Manhattan.

Travis Kelce, a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, had many of his NFL colleagues, including his brother Jason Kelce and coach Andy Reid, in attendance, making Dunham's comment particularly notable given the audience.
