Wizards of the Coast has released comprehensive details for the upcoming *Magic: The Gathering Marvel Super Heroes* set, providing players with insights into new mechanics, card legality, and returning features.

This release offers crucial information for players looking to integrate these new cards into their collections and competitive decks.

The new set introduces three distinct mechanics: Power-up, Teamwork, and Plan.

The Power-up ability allows creatures to unleash special effects once per game, with a cost reduction if activated on the turn the permanent entered the battlefield.

Teamwork is a spell-based mechanic where players can tap creatures they control to gain additional effects from a spell.

The Plan enchantment type introduces a new way for players to work towards significant rewards by accumulating plan counters.

In addition to these new mechanics, the *Marvel Super Heroes* set reintroduces the 'Connive' mechanic, which involves drawing and discarding cards to potentially boost a creature.

The set also features modal double-faced cards, building on a rules change that now allows any modal double-faced card to transform if its other face is a permanent type.

A new predefined token, Vibranium, is also part of the set, providing mana that cannot be spent on nonartifact spells.

Regarding card legality, *Magic: The Gathering Marvel Super Heroes* cards with the MSH set code are permitted in a wide array of formats, including Standard, Pioneer, Modern, and Commander.

Cards with MSC and MAR set codes are legal in Commander, Legacy, and Vintage, and in any format where a card with the same name is already permitted.

This broad legality ensures that the new Marvel-themed cards will be accessible across various play environments.
