Nicole Arbour Claims Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo Divorce is a Publicity Stunt
Comedian Nicole Arbour has publicly stated that the divorce between musician Jelly Roll and his wife, Bunnie Xo, is a publicity stunt.
Arbour, who has a history of public disputes with Jelly Roll, suggested that the couple is orchestrating a "PR scandal" to precede the launch of a new project.
According to Arbour, the alleged divorce is a calculated move designed to generate media attention.
This claim comes as Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo navigate their separation, which was initiated when Jelly Roll (born Jason Bradley DeFord) filed for divorce in May after a decade of marriage.
Arbour's accusations are not new; she has previously alleged wrongdoing by Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo (whose real name is Alisa DeFord) for several years.
She released a diss track titled "Cosplay Christian" aimed at the country singer.
Arbour also claimed in an Instagram series, "The Jelly Roll Files," that Jelly Roll verbally assaulted her and that she filed a police report.
However, the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department reportedly did not file charges, with an insider telling TMZ that Arbour's allegations lacked merit.
Despite the lack of charges, Arbour told The Post that she and Jelly Roll allegedly attempted to settle the matter privately, but she chose to release her song instead.
She claimed, "They sent me a hush money deal.
I said, ‘F–k you guys,’ and dropped ‘Cosplay Christian.'" In the track, Arbour criticized Jelly Roll's religious sincerity.
Arbour further alleged that her ongoing feud with Jelly Roll caused friction in his marriage and led to financial repercussions for the artist.
She claimed that one of his main sponsors withdrew support and that his team informed her of declining ticket sales and lost brand deals.
She also stated that thousands of tickets were being given away for his shows with Post Malone.
A spokesperson for Jelly Roll declined to comment on Arbour's specific allegations, instead referencing her dismissed lawsuits from 2021 and 2022 against country rapper Ryan Upchurch for defamation and copyright infringement.
Arbour, however, maintains her innocence and claims to be the victim of a prolonged harassment campaign.
Bunnie Xo, for her part, addressed the divorce on her "Dumb Blonde" podcast, stating that she and Jelly Roll are "ending [their] marriage on the best possible terms." She also mentioned that despite the split, they still plan to have a baby together, even though Jelly Roll is reportedly dating other women.
This development matters to fans as it introduces a layer of controversy and speculation around the couple's separation and future endeavors.
