Zendaya has revealed that a specific line from the 2017 film *Spider-Man: Homecoming* has become a regular part of her vocabulary.

The actress, known for her role as MJ in the *Spider-Man* series, often quotes an ad-libbed remark made by Robert Downey Jr.

in the movie.

During an interview with BBC Radio 1 alongside her co-stars Tom Holland and Jacob Batalon, Zendaya shared, "I do the, 'You really screwed the pooch on that one.'" Holland, who plays Peter Parker, confirmed her statement, adding, "Yeah, you do say that a lot." This detail offers a glimpse into the camaraderie and shared experiences among the cast members, extending beyond their on-screen roles.

The line in question is delivered by Robert Downey Jr.'s character, Tony Stark, to Tom Holland's Peter Parker.

Stark uses the phrase to highlight Parker's mistakes and how he inadvertently worsened a situation.

The line appears twice in the film: once when Stark confronts Parker for compromising an investigation, and again at the end, after their reconciliation, when Stark acknowledges Parker's eventual right actions.

Holland further elaborated on the line's origin, stating that it was an improvisation by Downey Jr.

"[It was] not written.

I remember walking down the [hallway on set], and he said that, and I was like, 'I don't know what you're talking about,'" Holland recalled, indicating his initial unfamiliarity with the idiom.

Both Zendaya and Batalon also expressed confusion about the phrase's meaning during the interview, with Batalon humorously calling it "a bad white guy thing to say."

Zendaya, Holland, and Batalon are set to reprise their roles as Peter, MJ, and Ned in the upcoming film *Spider-Man: Brand New Day*, which is scheduled to be released on July 31.

This marks their first return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe since 2021's *Spider-Man: No Way Home*.

The trio previously starred together in *Spider-Man: Homecoming* and *Spider-Man: Far From Home*.
