Singer Gracie Abrams has openly addressed the ongoing "nepo baby" discourse, acknowledging the significant advantages her upbringing provided in her music career.

Abrams, the daughter of director JJ Abrams, discussed the topic during an appearance on the New York Times' PopCast.

Abrams stated that the "nepo stuff is obviously in the discourse appropriately," recognizing the privilege she experienced.

She highlighted having a "safety net" that allowed her to experiment and concentrate on her craft, providing the "gift of time" to dedicate to her passion without financial fear.

This insight offers a rare glimpse into how artists from privileged backgrounds perceive their journey, making her comments particularly relevant to ongoing industry discussions.

Beyond financial security, Abrams also noted the benefit of growing up with parents who understood both the entertainment industry and the creative process.

She described it as having a unique "vocabulary" from her household, indicating an inherent understanding of the creative world from an early age.

Abrams expressed understanding for those who point out her background, stating, "I get it, hard-core.

The jokes and things, I understand the tone of the Internet."

## Upcoming Album and Tour Details

Abrams is preparing for the release of her third studio album, 'Daughter From Hell', scheduled for July 17 via Interscope.

The album has been previewed with the single 'Hit The Wall'.

The tracklist includes songs such as 'Death Wish', 'Broke My Heart', and 'What If It’s Right?', with Abrams calling the latter her favorite on the record.

The tour will kick off in the US at Denver’s Ball Arena on December 2, continuing across North America for four months.
