Jaime King's publicist has clarified the nature of the actress's friendship with Taylor Swift, addressing recent speculation after King was not seen at Swift's wedding to Travis Kelce.

This clarification provides insight into the private aspects of their relationship, which is significant given Swift's role as godmother to King's son.

Rumors began circulating after the "White Chicks" actress was absent from the wedding ceremony, which took place at New York City’s Madison Square Garden on July 3.

However, King's representative, Jane Owen, issued a statement on July 9 to E!

News, aiming to set the record straight.

Owen explained that the bond between King and Swift, particularly concerning Swift's role as godmother to King's 10-year-old son, Leo Thames, is deeply personal.

"The reason Jaime chose Taylor as Leo Thames’s godmother is because they both believe that being a godmother is a deeply personal and spiritual commitment that has nothing to do with public appearances," Owen stated.

Regarding Leo Thames's absence from the wedding, Owen added, "Leo Thames is still too young for a large adult wedding celebration, but he and his mother were able to joyfully celebrate Taylor and Kelce’s marriage in his own very special, age-appropriate way during his summer break." The publicist did not provide specific details about the nature of these private celebrations involving King, Swift, and Leo Thames.
