Justin Bieber is officially joining the lineup for the first-ever FIFA World Cup Final Halftime Show, set to co-headline the event alongside music icons Madonna, Shakira, and K-pop sensation BTS.

This marks a significant development as it's the first time FIFA has staged a Halftime Show for its final match, bringing a new entertainment dimension to the global sporting event.

The 11-minute spectacle is scheduled for July 19 at New York New Jersey Stadium.

In addition to the headliners, the show will feature performances by Burna Boy, Gustavo Dudamel, and PS22 Chorus, with Coldplay's lead singer Chris Martin curating the event in his role as international curator of the Global Citizen Festival.

Beloved Muppets characters Kermit and Miss Piggy are also slated to make an appearance.

Bieber expressed his gratitude for being part of the show, stating, "The FIFA World Cup brings the world together in a way nothing else can.

I’m grateful to be part of this Halftime Show, and even more grateful knowing it’s already helping expand access to education for children around the world.”

Supporting Global Education

The Halftime Show is being staged in support of the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, an initiative dedicated to raising $100 million to expand access to education and football opportunities for children worldwide.

The fund has already secured $50 million and plans to match $1 from every ticket sold to World Cup matches with a donation.

Burna Boy also highlighted the importance of the cause, remarking, “To represent Africa on the first-ever FIFA World Cup Final Halftime Show is a privilege and a responsibility that I don’t take lightly.

I’m honoured to be part of a performance that not only celebrates football and culture, but also helps create greater opportunities for children through education around the world.”

FIFA President Gianni Infantino underscored the critical role of education, adding, “When it comes to what the world needs, there is nothing more important than education.

We are proud to have Justin Bieber joining Madonna, Shakira and BTS to co-headline the FIFA World Cup 2026 Final Halftime Show in support of the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund and our mission to expand access to quality education and football opportunities for children around the world.”

Hugh Evans, co-founder and CEO of Global Citizen, described the event as potentially the most-watched broadcast music performance in history, uniting artists from across the globe for a shared cause.

He called on world leaders, specifically President Macron and Prime Minister Sánchez, to contribute to the Education Fund to ensure the World Cup leaves a lasting impact.
