Tyler Mane, the actor recognized for his portrayal of Michael Myers in Rob Zombie’s *Halloween* films and Sabretooth in *X-Men*, has publicly revealed his diagnosis of breast cancer.

The 59-year-old actor shared the news via Instagram on Tuesday, noting the rarity of his condition among men.

Mane announced that he began chemotherapy on Tuesday, stating in a video, “One in 750 men will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime and I’m one of them.” He emphasized his intention to document his treatment journey, aiming to raise awareness for a condition he believes is often overlooked in men.

This public disclosure is significant because, as Mane points out, the lack of discussion around male breast cancer often results in diagnoses at more advanced stages, leading to less favorable outcomes.

In his Instagram caption, Mane admitted his initial reaction was to keep the diagnosis private due to embarrassment.

However, he decided against it after learning that men are more likely to be diagnosed in advanced stages precisely because the topic is not widely discussed or screened for.

He credited his wife's persistence for getting a lump removed early, despite initial dismissals from doctors.

Following his initial announcement, Mane shared a second emotional video, expressing gratitude for the outpouring of support.

He reiterated his determination to "kick cancer's ass" and stressed the importance of spreading awareness, noting that early detection can lead to a successful battle against the disease.

On Wednesday, he provided a third update, encouraging others facing difficulties by stating, "If you are going through anything shitty right now — you and I got this!

Time to kick some ass!!"
