Chris Hemsworth Family Denied Boarding Due to Passport Mix-Up
Chris Hemsworth and his family recently faced an unexpected travel delay when they were denied boarding for an international flight.
The "Thor" actor and his wife, Elsa Pataky, revealed in an interview with Harper's Bazaar Arabia that the issue stemmed from a passport mix-up.
Hemsworth explained that he inadvertently brought his daughter India Rose's passport instead of one belonging to his twin sons, Sasha or Tristan.
He shares India Rose, 14, and 12-year-old twin boys with Pataky.
The actor humorously recalled attempting to convince security that the passport, which belonged to his daughter, was for his son, noting, "They kind of look the same." Pataky, however, interjected, stating, "They don't."
Recounting the exchange, Hemsworth said he told the security agent, "This is her," only to be met with the reply, "That's a boy." He quipped that his attempt "didn't work."
This incident provides a relatable glimpse into the challenges even celebrities face with family travel logistics.
Hemsworth and Pataky, who married in 2010, welcomed India Rose in May 2012, followed by Sasha and Tristan in March 2014.
While the couple generally keeps their children out of the public eye, their kids have recently shown an interest in acting.
India Rose appeared alongside her father in the 2022 film "Thor: Love and Thunder," playing Gorr's daughter.
Despite his excitement for her involvement, Hemsworth has expressed his desire for her to prioritize her childhood.
He told ET Online in July 2023, "I want her to have a childhood and I think so does she." He encouraged her to enjoy school, horse riding, and being a kid, emphasizing that once a career path begins, it's difficult to step away.
Similarly, the twins, Sasha and Tristan, recently featured in their mother's new Spanish-language TV series, "The Tribute," portraying the sons of Pataky's character.
