Actor Colin Farrell found himself in an unexpected situation during a live broadcast of Fox's FIFA World Cup after-show, where he repeatedly used expletives, reportedly unaware the program was being aired live.

The incident occurred on Tuesday's episode of *After Hours*, hosted by James Corden.

Farrell's casual use of language, which included several F-bombs, prompted Corden to interject.

The breaking point came when Farrell questioned a figure on the set, asking Corden, "Who the f--- is that in the corner?" Corden then clarified, "Let me tell you two things.

Number one, that's the waxwork Pelé from Madame Tussauds.

And number two: this is live."

Upon realizing his mistake, Farrell expressed surprise, stating, "I didn't know that.

It might not have been that different, but I didn't know that.

I would've liked to have known that." He humorously suggested that the show's title, *After Hours*, did not imply a live broadcast, unlike a show titled "Live with…"

This is not the first instance of Farrell accidentally using an F-bomb on live television.

A similar event occurred during a September visit to the *Today* show while promoting the film *A Big Beautiful Journey* with Margot Robbie.

In that case, Farrell was aware the show was live when he exclaimed, "I f---ing knew it!" after correctly identifying a chip brand.

The reactions were immediate, with Robbie hitting his shoulder and host Craig Melvin exclaiming, "Oh my God!" Farrell later quipped, "They misheard me!"

Despite his three decades in the entertainment industry, these incidents highlight the unique challenges of live television for even seasoned actors.

The fact that this has happened before suggests a pattern of unscripted moments that can catch both the actor and audience by surprise.
