A Connecticut man, Paul Kueker, 51, died after falling from a balcony during a concert at Madison Square Garden in New York City over the weekend.

The incident occurred during a Goose concert, where Kueker was celebrating his 25th wedding anniversary with his wife.

According to reports, Kueker fell head-first from a balcony in the 300s section, landing on other concertgoers below.

Witnesses reportedly told authorities that he appeared to be "intoxicated" and "under the influence" before going over a 4-foot glass barrier shortly before 10 p.m.

Kueker was found unconscious and unresponsive after the fall and was transported to Bellevue Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Several individuals he landed on sustained minor injuries.

His wife, who was in their assigned seats three sections away, was reportedly unaware of the incident until authorities informed her, believing her husband had taken a bathroom break.

## Investigation Underway

The New York City medical examiner’s office announced on Monday that the cause of Kueker’s death remains under investigation.

As part of the probe, a toxicology report is being conducted.

This development is significant as it will provide crucial details regarding the circumstances leading to the tragic fall.

Madison Square Garden released a statement expressing deep sadness over the loss, stating, "While we await the police report on the tragedy at last night’s Goose concert, we are deeply saddened by the loss of a fan’s life at Madison Square Garden.

Our hearts go out to the family and friends of the concertgoer."

The band Goose also extended their condolences, stating, "We are deeply saddened and heartbroken to learn of the tragic event that occurred at tonight’s show.

We extend our deepest sympathy to everyone affected.

Thank you to the emergency personnel and venue staff who stepped in with care and support."

Kueker, a father of two, was described on a GoFundMe page created by his daughter as "a loving father, family man, and friend whose presence brought warmth and laughter wherever he went." The fundraiser noted his love for spending time with family, cooking, and attending live music events.
