Model and actress Emily Ratajkowski has opened up about her dating life following her 2022 divorce from Sebastian Bear-McClard.

In a revealing essay for The Cut, Ratajkowski detailed her experiences, stating her post-divorce mission has been to "f**k my way into a new kind of woman." This candid reflection offers a glimpse into her personal journey and evolving perspective on relationships after a significant life change.

Ratajkowski, 35, explained that prior to her separation, she had limited experience with casual encounters, having only slept with eight people in her life.

This included four live-in boyfriends and a male best friend from high school.

Her post-divorce dating ventures, however, have marked a departure from this pattern.

She recounted encounters with a diverse group of men, including a "Vegan Graffiti Artist," a "Chef who thought he might have chlamydia," a "Spanish Gen-Zer," a "heavily self-medicated Son of a Billionaire," several Italians, and "another DJ." Ratajkowski noted that before her divorce, she had never had a one-night stand or slept with someone on the same day she met them.

## Insights on Motherhood and Dating

The separation from Sebastian Bear-McClard occurred just over a year after their son, Sylvester, was born in March 2021.

Ratajkowski shared that her marriage began to unravel when she and her husband stopped having sex six months after their son's birth, leading to their separation less than a year later.

She filed for divorce in September 2022.

Reflecting on her experiences, Ratajkowski highlighted two key observations.

Firstly, she learned that many men are reportedly turned on by motherhood.

She recalled a conversation with a friend who reassured her that being a single mother would not deter potential partners, addressing a fear she held about being perceived as "unloveable, used up and discarded."

Secondly, she discovered a simple truth: "The more I seemed not to need a man, the more desperately he needed me." This insight suggests a shift in her dynamic with men, where her independence appears to be a significant factor in how she is perceived and pursued.
