Country music stars Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan, alongside former MLB player Adam LaRoche, are facing a lawsuit seeking more than $1.4 million in damages following the closure of their Nashville steakhouse.

The legal action, initiated by Village 21 Investment Partners LLC, claims the restaurant's closure constitutes a default on their lease agreement.

According to the lawsuit filed in Davidson County Circuit Court, the trio, who operated the E3 Chophouse, allegedly "stopped paying the monthly rent and abruptly closed the restaurant" in February.

This development is significant as it directly impacts the business dealings of prominent entertainment figures in the Nashville area.

The E3 Chophouse, located in the city's Hillsboro Village neighborhood, first opened its doors in 2019.

It was one of two E3 Chophouse locations, with the other, owned by LaRoche and his brothers Jeff and Andy, having opened in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, in 2013.

As of Tuesday, June 23, the Nashville steakhouse's website stated, "Nashville − we’re hitting pause.

We’re temporarily pausing operations as we evaluate what Nashville needs next.

Our team is assessing market opportunities and exploring potential rebrand and re-concept strategies for the future of this location."

The connection between the celebrity partners dates back years.

LaRoche and Bryan became friends over two decades ago after LaRoche attended one of Bryan's music performances in Atlanta.

LaRoche later met Aldean after the musician sang the national anthem at an Atlanta Braves game, leading to them becoming hunting companions, as previously reported by The Tennessean.

USA TODAY has attempted to reach out to the defendants' attorneys for comment.

Online court records indicate that a hearing for this civil case is scheduled for Friday, June 26.
