During a recent interview with Graham Norton at London's Koko venue, pop icon Madonna revealed a surprising past sentiment: she admitted to being "a little bit jealous" of fellow pop star Kylie Minogue.

This revelation offers a rare glimpse into the personal dynamics between two of music's most enduring figures.

The conversation touched upon Madonna's memorable appearance at the 2000 MTV Europe Music Awards in Stockholm, Sweden, where she famously wore a T-shirt emblazoned with Minogue's name in rhinestones.

Norton inquired about the origin of this iconic outfit.

Madonna explained her creative process at the time, stating, "I was in my Western mode, rhinestoning everything, and I was trying to think of singers that I'm slightly in love with.

And so naturally I thought of Kylie and had a T-shirt made of her." Minogue, who was present for part of the interview, recounted her shock upon seeing the shirt in 2000, describing it as having "no warning" and causing her to nearly faint.

Madonna then elaborated on her feelings, telling Minogue directly, "I was actually a little bit jealous of you." When Norton pressed for a reason, Madonna attributed it to Minogue's perceived cuteness and suggested that her then-husband, filmmaker Guy Ritchie, had a crush on Minogue.

Madonna recalled thinking, "I'll never be as beautiful as Kylie!"
