Prince George Joins Kate Middleton for Royal Air Force Visit
Prince George, 12, was recently seen alongside his mother, Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, during a visit to the Royal Air Force Coningsby base.
The rare mother-son outing was documented in a joint Instagram post by the Prince and Princess of Wales, highlighting their participation in events honoring Britain’s Armed Forces Day.
The video shared by the royals showed both Prince George and Princess Kate taking turns in the cockpit of different aircraft.
The post was captioned, in part, "Honouring Service and Sacrifice," and spoke of learning about the history of the aircraft and meeting the pilots and engineers.
This public appearance offers a glimpse into the young royal's growing involvement in official duties.
Beyond his recent engagement with the Royal Air Force, Prince George is also preparing for a significant educational milestone.
It has been confirmed that he will attend Eton College starting this September.
This move will see him follow in the footsteps of his father, Prince William, who also attended the prestigious all-boys boarding school from 1995 to 2000.
Prince Harry, George's uncle, also attended Eton, enrolling in 1998 and graduating in 2003.
Prince George, who will turn 13 next month, previously attended Lambrook School in Ascot with his younger siblings, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
Eton College, founded in 1440 in Berkshire, England, is known as the largest boarding school in England and boasts a long list of notable alumni, including 20 British Prime Ministers such as David Cameron and Boris Johnson.
