Veteran rocker Rod Stewart reportedly experienced an onstage health scare during a recent concert in West Valley City, Utah.

The 81-year-old musician was performing at the Utah First Credit Union Amphitheater when he appeared to become unsteady and distressed.

Backstage attendants provided him with an oxygen tank, which he used for several deep breaths before continuing the show while seated.

Stewart reportedly told the audience that he "dang near fainted." The cause of his unsteadiness is unclear, though West Valley City's altitude of 4,300 feet above sea level can sometimes lead to breathing complications.

This incident highlights the ongoing health challenges the singer has faced, which have impacted his recent touring schedule.

Earlier this month, Stewart announced the rescheduling of several performances at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, citing doctor's orders for more rest due to the flu.

He subsequently canceled four shows and postponed two others in Nevada and California.

In an Instagram post, he expressed his apologies to fans, stating, "I’ll be back on stage and we’ll see you soon - Sir Rod????."

Despite these health setbacks, Stewart has also delivered strong performances, including a "vivacious" show at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles earlier this month.

During that performance, he reportedly told the 17,500-strong crowd, "This is my last time here, so let’s have a party tonight," as part of his ongoing "One Last Time Tour," which began in 2024.

The Daily Beast has sought further information from Stewart's representatives regarding the recent incident.
