Seth Rogen has provided an update on his relationship with James Franco, stating that he has not spoken to his former collaborator in a significant period and has no intentions of working with him again.

This development is significant as it clarifies the ongoing professional and personal distance between the two actors following sexual misconduct allegations against Franco.

Rogen and Franco, who began their careers together on the cult TV series *Freaks and Geeks*, were long-time friends and frequent collaborators.

Their joint projects included films such as *Pineapple Express*, *This Is the End*, and *Sausage Party*.

Their final collaboration was *The Disaster Artist* in 2017.

In 2018, following Franco's Golden Globe win for *The Disaster Artist*, multiple women accused him of sexual misconduct.

Two of these women, Sarah Tither-Kaplan and Toni Gaal, were former students at Franco's acting school, Studio 4, and later filed a lawsuit against him, which was settled in 2021.

Speaking to The New York Times, Rogen acknowledged the nuanced nature of their relationship but maintained his public stance.

"I haven’t worked with him in a really long time and I have no plans to," Rogen stated, adding, "I haven’t talked to him in a long time." He emphasized that nothing has changed since he last addressed the subject, indicating that his position remains consistent with his 2021 statement to The London Times, where he affirmed, "I do not plan to [work with Franco again] right now."

Franco himself commented on the fractured friendship in 2024, expressing his regret.

"I haven’t talked to Seth.

I love Seth, we had 20 great years together, but I guess it’s over," he said, noting his attempts to reconnect.

However, Rogen later claimed in 2025 that he was unaware of Franco's public comments, stating, "Honestly, I absorb so little media that it really wasn’t on my radar," and declined further comment on the matter.
