Actor Adam Sandler reportedly contacted the Nantucket Police Department seeking a pickup basketball game just two days after officiating the wedding of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.

The call, made to the non-emergency line, saw Sandler inquiring about local basketball courts where he could play.

According to public safety dispatcher Chris Reynolds, Sandler stated, "Hey, I’m here on your island, and I like to play basketball.

Can you tell me where there’s a basketball court I could play on?" He was subsequently directed to the "Backus Lane court off Surfside Road" in Nantucket, Massachusetts.

Andrew Kesler, who was playing at the court when Sandler arrived, recounted the actor's entrance: "Adam Sandler rolled in a car and started playing pick-ups with the boys.

He's like ‘Guys, let me stretch, I’m going to hop in.’" Kesler also commented on Sandler's playing style, noting his "great passing and playmaking, decent lay-ups, [and he] hesitated to shoot the ball."

This unexpected basketball inquiry followed a significant event for Sandler: his role as the officiant for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding on July 3.

A statement from Swift's representative confirmed Sandler's involvement, stating, "The ceremony joined both families together and was officiated by friend Adam Sandler."

Sandler's connection to the couple stems partly from his professional relationship with Travis Kelce, with whom he worked on the upcoming 2025 Netflix film *Happy Gilmore 2*.

Sandler has previously spoken highly of Kelce, describing him as "such a gentle, nice guy, and funny as hell," and comparing him to his high school friends.

He also shared kind words about Taylor Swift, noting her consistent kindness to his family over the years.
