Jennifer Beals is set to join the cast of CBS's upcoming crime drama, NCIS: New York, starring alongside LL Cool J and Scott Caan.

This casting marks a significant addition to the latest installment of the popular NCIS franchise, which is slated to premiere this fall.

Beals will portray Assistant Special Agent in Charge Robyn Wells, a pivotal character who serves as the director of the NCIS New York field office.

Her character is described as leading with intuition and commanding widespread respect from her team, positioning her as the boss to both LL Cool J's and Scott Caan's characters.

This role is notable as it places a seasoned actress in a leadership position within a major network franchise.

LL Cool J will reprise his role as NCIS Special Agent Sam Hanna, returning to his hometown of New York City.
