Adam Sandler, known for his love of basketball, reached out to the Nantucket Police Department for an unexpected reason just days after officiating the wedding of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.

The actor was looking for a local court to play pickup basketball while visiting the island.

Public safety dispatcher Chris Reynolds recounted Sandler's call, where the comedian reportedly asked, "Hey, I’m here on your island and I like to play basketball.

Can you tell me where there’s a basketball court I could play on?" Reynolds directed Sandler to the Backus Lane court off Surfside Road, where he subsequently joined a game.

Andrew Kesler, who played with Sandler, observed his "great passing and playmaking, decent lay-ups," noting that he "hesitated to shoot the ball."

This development offers a glimpse into Sandler's personal activities following a high-profile event, highlighting his consistent interest in pickup basketball.

The wedding itself, which took place at Madison Square Garden, saw Sandler officiating the ceremony.

A representative for Swift confirmed the union, stating that the couple did not have bridesmaids or groomsmen.

Instead, Taylor's brother, Austin Swift, served as her Man of Honor, and Travis's brother, Jason Kelce, was the Best Man.

Sandler's connection to the couple extends beyond the wedding.

He has known Taylor Swift for years, with his children having met her on multiple occasions.

Travis Kelce also appeared in Sandler's film *Happy Gilmore 2*.
