Former NFL player Will Compton has publicly stated his surprise at not being invited to the recent wedding of Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift.

The couple reportedly exchanged vows on July 3 in a ceremony that saw approximately 1,000 guests in attendance.

Compton, a known friend and collaborator of Travis Kelce, initially didn't think much of the omission.

However, his perspective shifted as photographs from the event began circulating online, revealing the extensive guest list.

This development matters to fans because it highlights the unexpected nature of celebrity guest lists, even for close associates.

Speaking on the "Wake Up Barstool" podcast, Compton recounted his reaction when host David Portnoy questioned him about the snub.

"I’m gonna be honest, I didn’t think nothing of it," Compton told Portnoy, referring to the initial lack of an invitation.

His surprise grew upon seeing who did make the cut, specifically mentioning Fox Sports rules analyst Dean Blandino.

"All these photos I keep seeing— I saw Dean Blandino got an invite.

Is that real?" Compton questioned, indicating his disbelief.

Compton, along with his "Bussin’ with the Boys" podcast cohost Taylor Lewan, has a history of collaboration with Kelce, including appearances on each other's podcasts and working together at Kelce's annual Tight End University summit.

The duo has also been photographed with Taylor Swift on multiple occasions since her relationship with Kelce began in 2023.

Compton further noted that it appeared "all of Tight End U" received invitations, citing the presence of NFL stars George Kittle and Greg Olsen.

This observation made his exclusion even more perplexing to him.

He concluded the discussion by stating his intention to "talk to Travis" about the matter.

Just a month prior to the wedding, Compton attended this year’s Tight End University in Tennessee, where Swift made a surprise appearance to perform at the Tight Ends & Friends charity concert.

Lewan, reflecting on the event, praised Swift's performance and Kelce's consistent demeanor amidst his heightened stardom, stating, "The guy has been the same dude since the day I’ve met him."

The wedding itself was described as a significant celebrity event, with a star-studded guest list that reportedly included Jennifer Lopez, Hugh Grant, Gigi Hadid, Bradley Cooper, Dakota Johnson, Steven Spielberg, Selena Gomez, Sabrina Carpenter, Ed Sheeran, Tom Hanks, and Nikki Glaser.

Adam Sandler reportedly officiated the ceremony, and Lena Dunham is said to have delivered a humorous speech.
