Ben Stiller has confirmed he is developing a documentary series focused on the New York Knicks, in collaboration with HBO, the NBA, and A24.

The project aims to chronicle the team's history, culminating in their pursuit of a championship after 53 years.

Stiller, who has been seen courtside at Knicks games filming with his phone, revealed the details on the Roommates podcast.

He explained that while some footage was captured on his personal device, the series will encompass all eras of the Knicks, highlighting the current team's journey as a significant culmination of their long history.

This development offers insight into Stiller's recent courtside presence, which had previously been a subject of public curiosity.

“It’s going to be about all eras of the Knicks, and this team obviously, there’s a culmination here, of something that’s been going on for a long time,” Stiller stated.

He also expressed excitement about the access granted to the team, indicating that more filming will occur during the next season and that he plans to conduct interviews over the coming year.

The actor noted that many individuals have long desired to see this project come to fruition.

This isn't Stiller's first venture into sports documentaries; he recently partnered with A24 and HBO for "Born To Bowl." Fans of his other work, particularly the series "Severance," are also anticipating its third season, and it remains to be seen how this new documentary project will impact his other commitments.
