Jonathan Anderson, the creative director for Christian Dior, has spoken out about his experience designing the custom wedding attire for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.

Anderson described the process as "emotional," revealing his close collaboration with the couple for their July 3 wedding.

Swift and Kelce both wore Christian Dior haute couture for their ceremony, which took place at New York City’s Madison Square Garden.

Anderson's comments came on July 6, shortly after Dior presented its Fall/Winter 2026-2027 haute couture collection during Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week, a collection that notably featured several bridal-inspired designs.

This development offers a rare glimpse into the personal creative journey behind a high-profile celebrity wedding gown, providing insight into the designer's perspective.

According to a statement from Swift's representative on the wedding day, Anderson worked "in close collaboration with the Bride and Groom" on their ensembles.

Both Swift and Kelce also wore Christian Louboutin shoes, with Swift accessorizing her look with Cartier jewelry.

Anderson, who joined Dior in 2025, expressed his enjoyment in working with Swift, telling WWD, "It was a joy to work with her.

We became very good friends." He added, "It’s an emotional thing doing someone’s wedding." The custom looks for the Grammy-winning singer and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end were crafted in Dior’s ateliers at 30 Avenue Montaigne in Paris, as confirmed by Dior.

Swift has reportedly hinted at her connection with Dior in recent months, carrying various Dior handbags, including a buttercup-colored mini Lady Dior and a black Dior handbag, in the lead-up to the wedding.

She was also seen with a Dior bag at Madison Square Garden in June, the same venue that would later host her wedding.

The wedding ceremony at MSG, which was transformed into a "whimsical" secret garden, hosted approximately 1,000 guests.

An insider told People that the evening was "very guest-centric," with constant activities and entertainment.

The newlyweds themselves were reportedly beaming throughout the event, with "a huge smile never left either of their faces."
