Kate Middleton is reportedly not advocating for a reconciliation between Prince William and Prince Harry, according to several royal experts.

This development suggests a shift in the Princess of Wales's approach to the strained relationship between the brothers, as previous reports indicated she had attempted to mend their ties.

Christopher Andersen, author of "Kate!," told Fox News Digital that Kate is "no longer in the business of trying to reunite the brothers." He added that it would be "magical thinking" to suggest she has the "emotional bandwidth to cope with the Sussexes" at this time.

British broadcaster Helena Chard echoed this sentiment, stating that her sources do not believe Princess Catherine is pushing for a meeting.

Chard noted that while Kate has been seen as a potential "peacemaker," the prevailing sentiment within the Wales camp is that she will not allow her family, particularly Prince William, to be drawn back into what is termed the "Sussex drama."

This stance is reportedly influenced by the perception that the "Sussex circus of briefings, counter-briefings and public spectacle is seen as tiresome and, frankly, not good for the Wales family’s well-being."

His spokesperson initially claimed an offer for him to stay at Buckingham Palace was withdrawn after he accepted it, a claim disputed by palace sources who stated he failed to respond by a deadline.

Harry had also hoped to bring Meghan Markle and their children, but reportedly decided against it due to concerns over police protection, which would only be provided on royal property.

Royal editor Russell Myers reported that King Charles "has no plans to alter his diary this week" to see Harry, especially after Harry's decision not to bring his grandchildren.

Myers highlighted that the King, who is undergoing cancer treatment, has met Prince Archie only a few times and Princess Lilibet once.

Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams commented that the trip was a "mess before Harry arrived" and that Kate Middleton would support whatever William decided regarding his brother.

Hilary Fordwich, another British royal expert, stated that William remains "resolute in opposition" to any thawing of the relationship, and Kate, having also been affected by Harry's disclosures in his memoir "Spare," is likely to stand by her husband's position.

Andersen previously noted that a breaking point for Kate was Harry's remarks about King Charles's mortality following his cancer diagnosis, which she reportedly found hurtful and felt ignited a "firestorm of speculation" about the King's health.

This led to Kate reportedly deciding she "was done with Harry" and would no longer try to mend the relationship.
