Marc Anthony's Relationship with Jennifer Lopez's Twins Reportedly Strained
Marc Anthony's relationship with his twin children, Max and Oskar Muniz, shared with Jennifer Lopez, is reportedly experiencing difficulties.
Insiders suggest that it has become challenging for Anthony to spend time with the 18-year-olds, a situation highlighted by his absence from both of their recent high school graduations.
Jennifer Lopez was present to celebrate her sons' milestones.
On May 28, she attended Oskar Muniz's graduation from Windward School in Los Angeles, accompanied by her mother, Guadalupe Rodríguez, and Ben Affleck’s son, Samuel Affleck.
A week later, on June 5, Lopez was seen at Max Muniz's graduation, held at UCLA, alongside Oskar, her parents, and her long-time manager, Benny Medina.
Marc Anthony was reportedly not present at either event.
This development is significant as it suggests a shift in the co-parenting dynamic between the two artists, with Lopez now reportedly taking on a more central role.
According to a source who spoke to Us Weekly in February, Lopez is considered the "primary parent," and Anthony "defers to her" regarding their children.
The source also noted that while the twins spent more time with Anthony when they were younger, with him even arranging private jets for visits, this arrangement has become "more difficult and more infrequent."
Anthony is a father to eight children from four different relationships.
In addition to Max and Oskar, he has daughter Arianna, 32, and son Chase, 35, with ex Debbie Rosado; sons Cristian, 25, and Ryan, 22, with Dayanara Torres; and is expecting another child with his current wife, Nadia Ferreira.
Jennifer Lopez, who separated from Anthony in 2011, three years after the twins' birth, has openly discussed the emotional experience of her children growing up and leaving home.
She shared with Andy Cohen on *Watch What Happens Live* that she finds it difficult to write about the end of the school year without becoming emotional, stating, "I’ve given them roots and wings and it’s great and this is how it is.
This is a healthy mom thing to do."
