Actor Matt Damon has unveiled a new rapper alter-ego, "The Nomad," to support Get Blue, a fresh initiative from Water.org, the organization he co-founded with Gary White.

This unexpected venture into music, created in collaboration with Grammy-winning artist and producer Hit-Boy and producer Teddy Walton, aims to draw attention to the global water crisis.

"The Nomad" persona, a playful reversal of Damon's name, is part of a broader strategy to engage the public through culture and humor.

Damon explained that music and humor are effective ways to cut through the noise and raise awareness for important causes.

The goal is to make the issue of water accessibility more relatable and encourage participation from a wider audience.

Get Blue seeks to tackle the global water crisis by collaborating with prominent brands such as Starbucks, Gap, and Amazon.

These partnerships involve offering unique products and services that directly contribute to funding Water.org's mission.

For instance, purchasing a blue hoodie from Gap can direct $5 to Water.org, which, according to Damon, is enough to provide clean water for one person for life through their programming.

Starbucks is contributing through special matcha drinks, while Amazon Music is generating donations through playlist streams and Alexa commands.

Gary White highlighted that these partnerships are built on existing relationships, with many of the brands having already worked with Water.org and vetted their solutions.

This pre-existing trust and commitment have already helped millions gain access to water, even before the launch of Get Blue.

The initiative aims to provide simple ways for individuals to contribute to a significant global issue, recognizing that one in four people worldwide are affected by water scarcity.

Damon also touched upon the upcoming Christopher Nolan film, *The Odyssey*, in which he stars.

He expressed excitement about the film's release coinciding with a renewed public interest in returning to movie theaters, suggesting a positive shift in the entertainment landscape post-COVID.

This enthusiasm for cinema, he believes, could also indirectly benefit the visibility of his philanthropic efforts with Water.org and Get Blue.
