Paul Avery, an actor recognized for his work on "All My Children" and the 1978 film "Superman," has tragically passed away alongside his wife, Shiela, after a house fire.

The incident occurred early Tuesday morning at their New Jersey home.

According to reports from Ridge View Echo, firefighters responded to the blaze shortly before 1 AM.

Both Paul and Shiela Avery were found inside the burning building in critical condition.

Responders reportedly rescued them and attempted CPR, but neither survived.

The couple's daughter, Kyle, shared the heartbreaking news on social media, stating, "I’m devastated to share that our parents, Paul and Sheila Garry Avery, passed away early this morning." She added, "We loved them so much, and they loved us so much, and nobody ever had to wonder if that was so.
