Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, are reportedly planning a return to the United Kingdom next month, according to various British media outlets including the BBC, the Telegraph, and ITV News.

This visit is significant as it would be the first time their children, Archie, seven, and Lilibet, five, accompany them to the UK in four years.

The couple, who reside in California, departed from royal duties and moved to North America in 2020.

Their decision to step back from royal life was attributed to a combination of factors, including tabloid intrusion, alleged racism within British institutions, online abuse, complex family dynamics, and a desire for financial independence.

Since their departure, Prince Harry has made several solo trips back to the UK.

Notable visits include attending Queen Elizabeth II's funeral in 2022 and King Charles III's coronation in 2023.

His most recent visit was in January of this year for a court appearance related to a lawsuit against the publisher of the Daily Mail.

Despite previous visits, it is currently unknown whether King Charles will have the opportunity to meet with his grandchildren, Archie and Lilibet, during this reported trip.

The last time the King saw his grandchildren in person was in 2022, when the Sussex family visited the UK for the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

The timing of the reported visit coincides with an event marking one year until the start of the Invictus Games, the biennial sporting competition founded by Prince Harry over a decade ago.
