Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, are reportedly preparing for a family visit to the United Kingdom next month.

This trip would mark the first time their children, Archie, seven, and Lilibet, five, have visited the UK in four years, according to reports from British media outlets including the BBC, the Telegraph, and ITV News.

This development is significant as it could potentially offer a rare opportunity for the children to interact with the Royal Family, particularly King Charles, who last saw them in person in 2022.

The couple, who reside in California, departed from their roles as working royals in 2020 and subsequently moved to North America.

Their decision to step back from royal duties was attributed to various factors, including tabloid intrusion, alleged racism within British institutions, online abuse, and complex family dynamics, alongside a desire for financial independence.

Since their move, Prince Harry, 41, has made several individual trips back to the UK.

Notable visits include attending the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II in 2022 and the coronation of his father, King Charles III, in 2023.

He also returned in September last year for a meeting with his father, their first face-to-face encounter in 19 months, and again in January this year for a court appearance related to a lawsuit against a newspaper publisher.

While Prince Harry has previously expressed a desire for reconciliation with his family, it remains uncertain whether King Charles will meet with his grandchildren during the upcoming reported visit.

The last time the King saw Archie and Lilibet was during the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in 2022.

The timing of the reported visit aligns with an event celebrating one year until the commencement of the Invictus Games, the biennial sporting competition that Prince Harry founded over a decade ago.
