Fans concerned about the well-being of the canine star in Brad Pitt's upcoming film, "Heart of the Beast," can rest easy.

Producer Richard Raymond took to social media to confirm that the dog in the man-vs.-wild feature does indeed make it to the end of the film.

This assurance comes as a significant detail for many potential moviegoers, as the fate of animal characters often influences audience engagement.

Raymond's announcement was part of a lengthy post on X, coinciding with the release of the film's trailer.

"Look, everybody loves a dog," Raymond wrote.

"It’s about the only thing the whole world agrees on.

So let me put your mind at ease right now: The dog does not die.

You’re welcome."

Directed by David Ayer, "Heart of the Beast" features Brad Pitt as a former Special Forces officer.

He is joined by his combat dog, Odin, played by a rescue dog named Uber.

The plot sees the duo stranded in the Alaskan wilderness after a plane crash, forcing them to battle the elements and other animals in a harsh environment.

Beyond confirming the dog's survival, Raymond expressed his enthusiasm for the project, calling it "the definitive German Shepherd movie." He shared his personal connection to the breed, noting his mother breeds and trains them, and highlighted the film's journey from script to screen.

Raymond credited Cameron Alexander's script, which he pursued for five years, and the involvement of dog trainer Andrew Simpson, known for his work on "John Wick."

The producer also recounted how the project gained momentum after being presented to Damien Chazelle and Olivia Hamilton, who then took it to Paramount.

Brad Pitt eventually joined the cast, with David Ayer taking the directorial reins, and filming commenced in New Zealand.

Raymond also reflected on his past interactions with Pitt, recalling a time in the '90s when he served Pitt tea and coffee as a runner on the set of "Interview with the Vampire." He expressed a sense of disbelief and pride at now being a producer on what he believes could be one of Pitt's best films.

"Heart of the Beast" is scheduled to arrive in theaters on September 25.
