Actor Will Forte recently shared a humorous anecdote involving his wife, Olivia Modling, and her new hairstyle.

Forte revealed that Modling jokingly threatened divorce after his less-than-ideal reaction to her freshly cut bangs.

The incident unfolded during a FaceTime call when Modling, who had never had bangs before, surprised Forte with her new look.

Forte's immediate response, he admitted, was to ask, "What happened to you?" This initial reaction was followed by him questioning if she was wearing a wig, a comment he later acknowledged was "not a great start" to the conversation.

Forte explained on Wednesday's episode of *Late Night With Seth Meyers* that the way the bangs were styled, combined with Modling being hunched over, made them appear less like "Brigitte Bardot bangs" and more like "Spock." He even considered the possibility that she might have been preparing for a Halloween costume.

Caught in the middle of a rehearsal, Forte had to cut the call short, leaving the situation unresolved for about half an hour.

Upon reconnecting, he found a series of texts from Modling, which host Seth Meyers displayed.

One text read, "Is that a wig?

BANGS!" followed by a text simply stating, "Divorce."

Thankfully, Forte confirmed that the couple has since moved past the "fringe fiasco." This lighthearted marital moment offers a glimpse into the personal life of the *MacGruber* star and former *Saturday Night Live* alum.

Forte and Modling married in 2021 and are parents to two daughters, Zoe and Cecilia.
