Carmen Electra Discusses Her "Whirlwind" Return for New Scary Movie Cameo
Carmen Electra is set to make a surprise cameo in the new *Scary Movie*, marking her third appearance in the popular parody franchise.
The actress and model described her return as a "whirlwind" experience, expressing excitement about rejoining the cast for the upcoming film.
Electra, known for her memorable opening scene in the original 2000 *Scary Movie*, also appeared in *Scary Movie 4* in 2006.
Her involvement in the new installment, which is positioned to parody the last 25 years of horror, brings her back into the fold alongside original cast members like Anna Faris and Regina Hall, and co-creators Marlon and Shawn Wayans.
Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Electra shared details about how her cameo came to be.
She recounted receiving the offer shortly after flying home from another job and immediately accepting.
"I said yes right away.
We got back on a plane and flew to Atlanta and shot at Tyler Perry Studios.
It was just really so exciting," she stated.
Electra is particularly enthusiastic about sharing a scene with an undisclosed "huge, amazing actress." She is keeping the identity of her co-star under wraps to ensure maximum surprise for audiences.
Her return also meant reuniting with the Wayans brothers, whom she praised for their unique comedic touch.
"I think the Wayans are the best," she commented, recalling how she missed their involvement during *Scary Movie 4*.
While Electra isn't entirely sure how her name came up for the new film, she theorized that a viral TMZ interview in February, where she spoke positively about the Wayans, might have played a role.
She also heard that the production was initially looking for a "Carmen Electra type" before deciding to simply cast her.
Marlon Wayans confirmed that the production, which launched and wrapped in Atlanta in 2025, included reshoots and additional photography to incorporate fresh parodies.
The new *Scary Movie* aims to follow directly from the original, skipping previous sequels, and will feature other returning stars such as Cheri Oteri, Dave Sheridan, Chris Elliott, and Lochlyn Munro.
Electra fondly recalled the atmosphere of the first *Scary Movie*, noting that no one anticipated its global success.
She described the new shoot as equally enjoyable and reminiscent of the original.
Her continued involvement in the *Scary Movie* franchise underscores the enduring appeal of its comedic style and the Wayans' influence on the series.
