The reality television personality made the statement in a TikTok comment thread.

After sharing an update about her rescue dog, a follower expressed empathy for Kate, suggesting she was being "constantly disparaged and lied about" by an "adult child with a skewed version of their childhood." Kate responded, "Thank you!

YOU understand.

Sadly, only parents who have a mentally ill child understand!" She further added that it's "so tough" and that she's "learning that [people] have NO ability to understand unless they’ve been through it themselves."

This interaction adds another layer to the ongoing public dispute between Kate and Collin.

Collin, 22, has repeatedly made claims of abuse against his mother, including allegations that she kept him confined in a basement with zip-tied wrists and ankles.

He has also shared a past diary entry he attributes to his mother, where she allegedly wrote about praying to God to stop hitting him when he was two years old.

These claims are central to his upcoming book, set for an October release.

Kate has previously denied these accusations.
