Olivia Rodrigo surprised fans at Primavera Sound on Saturday with an unannounced set that featured the debut of her new song, “what’s wrong with me.” The track is a collaboration with Robert Smith, the frontman of The Cure, and is set to be included on Rodrigo’s forthcoming album, *you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love*, scheduled for release on June 12th.

Rodrigo introduced the song by expressing its personal significance, noting, “it’s really special to me for so many reasons — primarily because it’s my first collaboration.

I can’t believe this song exists and with the person that it exists with.” This collaboration marks a significant moment for Olivia Rodrigo, as it is her first official joint effort with another artist.

The partnership between Rodrigo and Smith has developed over the past couple of years.

Smith previously joined Rodrigo on stage during her headlining performance at Glastonbury in 2025.

Their connection deepened during the creation of Rodrigo’s third album, with Smith telling Vogue that they frequently discussed fashion and spent memorable nights in the studio together.

Smith also expressed his admiration for Rodrigo's music, stating he is a big fan of her albums *Sour* and *Guts*.

“what’s wrong with me” is the third song released from *you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love*, following “drop dead” and “the cure.” Rodrigo also performed these tracks, alongside fan favorites such as “bad idea right?,” “deja vu,” “all-american bitch,” and “good 4 u,” during her Primavera Sound set.

Fans can anticipate hearing these songs and more when she embarks on “The Unraveled Tour” in September.

Prior to Rodrigo's surprise appearance, The Cure delivered their own performance at Primavera Sound on Friday, treating the Barcelona audience to a 29-song set that included deep cuts, unexpected additions, and classic hits.
