Actress Ruby Rose recently revealed she was hospitalized after sustaining multiple broken ribs in a poolside accident.

The incident occurred when Rose slipped on the ledge of her pool, hitting her side against a wall as she fell into the water.

This development means her summer plans will be significantly impacted.

Rose, known for her roles in *Orange is the New Black* and *Pitch Perfect 3*, shared details of the injury on her Instagram Story on June 29.

She posted a clip showing herself clutching her side after the fall, captioning it, “RIP to my ribs, and to the rest of my summer.

They are broken, multiple.” She further quipped about the immediate need for medical attention, stating, “Straight to the hospital, did not pass go or collect 200 dollars.”

Further elaborating on Threads, the 40-year-old actress explained that she “landed perfectly” on the right side of her ribs, resulting in fractures to the bottom two.

She also mentioned having to use a breathing machine as part of her recovery, humorously remarking, “What a bloody Monday.”

This isn't the first time Rose has dealt with such an injury.

She drew a comparison between her current situation and a similar rib injury she experienced in 2019 while filming the series *Batwoman*.

Her recent fall highlights the unexpected nature of accidents and their potential impact on daily life and professional commitments.
